Not working on NON ROOTED device #229

Hello,

Airgap Vault is not working on a non-rooted device — it tells me my device is rooted. It lets me create and back up the seed phrase, but when I try to access it, it simply doesn’t work and shows “something went wrong.”

I understand it relies on RootBeer to check for root, but RootBeer falsely reports my device as rooted — which it is not.

My device is a Fort Knox–level secure device: a tablet flashed with LineageOS, never been online and cannot be online. Using ADB root, I permanently disabled Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functionalities, and it has no SIM card or data function by design (Wi-Fi only tablet). The storage is also AES encrypted.

I know you do this for security, but it has the opposite effect — I will either install a less secure app or use Airgap Vault on my online daily phone (even if inside a separate user space, it’s still online).

I would like you to add the possibility to bypass the root check for advanced users.

Also, I tried forking the project and disabling the root check, which I succeeded in doing, but for some reason the release APK gets stuck at the launch logo. I don’t want to invest more time and effort to find out why.
